SUMMARY:Wood Day
DESCRIPTION:Camp Nawakwa has a rich wood day history. In the last century\, wood day was established as a time when we as Nawakwans would fill our stores for the winter with freshly split firewood. Old wood would be rotated to the front of the pile while the fresh\, greener wood would be placed at the back to “season” for a season. \n\n\nOctober 26th\, 2024 Wood Day makes its return! 10:00 – till the wood is split! \nWe will be enjoying each other’s company\, moving wood rounds to the splitting area while splitting wood both manually and hydraulically and then stacking it under the porch. \nWe aim to start at 10:00 am\, there will be coffee in the pot and cider all day long. We will have light refreshments for volunteers throughout the day. \nRSVP to cingularsales@gmail.com Day Fees waived for volunteers (both members & applicants).
