DESCRIPTION:Join Ingrid and Michelle for a moderate-pace birding walk with lots of stops to look at birds. Bring your binoculars! Field guides are welcome\, too. We’ll walk around the West Pond at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge\, then check out two spots at or near the East Pond. Expect to see waterfowl and\, if we’re lucky\, some late-season migrants. This walk is accessible via the A train or by car. Please register by Thursday\, October 30. Meeting time and place will be shared with registrants. Rain cancels. DESCRIPTION:Join Ingrid Strauch and Andy Frank for a weekend of healthy vegetarian meals\, and participate in a Saturday evening (after-dinner) drum circle led by Denis Jordan. Drums will be provided\, but you can also bring your own percussion instrument if you like. No musical experience necessary\, just a willingness to give it a try. Possible (non-qualifying) group hike on Sunday after breakfast and lunch cleanup. Please register by Tuesday\, November 25\, and specify which meals you want: dinner\, breakfast\, trail lunch.
