SUMMARY:Join us for a Trail Work Day
DESCRIPTION:December 13\, 2024 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm \nContribute a few hours toward maintaining our shared hiking trails. We’ll start with an introduction to trail maintenance for those who haven’t done it before.  Then we’ll hike to our work location and work for around three hours not counting our lunch break.  Afterward\, feel free to join us for a weekend at camp hosted by Alex Wilkie. \nMeeting place: Camp Nawakwa (pick-up at train/bus station possible) \nWhen: 10:00 a.m. \nWhat to bring:  Work clothes\, long pants and long-sleeved shirt\, jacket/warm layers for changing weather circumstances\, sturdy hiking shoes/boots\, gloves\, hat\, plenty of water and a packed lunch. DESCRIPTION:Come escape to Harriman for a cozy December weekend at Nawakwa. Warm up by the fire with good food and easy company. Alex Wilkie will take care of the meals — hot dinners\, hearty breakfasts\, and bag lunches to keep us going. Earlier in the day on Saturday Andy Frank and Ingrid Strauch will be leading an optional group trail work event\, but even if you don’t participate in the trail work you are welcome for the hosted weekend. \nRegister by 9 p.m. on Thursday\, December 11. Let him know if you have any dietary restrictions or if you need transport to camp.
