Click here for info regarding the standby list. \nOrientation of camp procedures for Applicants including physical workings of Camp Nawakwa\, from the front gate to the cabins\, registration and fees\, processes in the kitchen\, closing the lodge and waterfront\, safety while in camp\, swimming and boating rules\, and much more. \n  \nFill out a camp access form attesting to your good health and specify you are attending Orientation for April 17 at 9:00 am. \n  \nOrientations will begin 9:00 am Saturday mornings and last approximately 3 hours. Please consider bringing a lunch to enjoy at camp afterwards. After attending an Orientation\, be sure to ask a Keyholder who conducted the program to sign your Signature Form.

DESCRIPTION:Sunday April 18\, 2021 – Around Cape Horn \nNOTE Date Change: Hike will now take place on Sunday \nCelebrate Spring by joining in an easy hike to the Pine Swamp Mountain area (site of the Pine Swamp Mine) and Times Square. Starting at the parking area at Lake Kanawauke (former Route 106)\, we take a short road walk and then enter the forest\, following a woods road as it gently climbs to meet the Dunning Trail. We hike over to Pine Swamp (and can explore the area to find the mine entrance)\, take the A-SB to Times Square (so called because it is where the Arden-Surebridge (A-SB) trail\, the Long Path (LP)\, and the Ramapo- Dunderberg trail(R-D) all come together)\, then ‘round Cape Horn on the Long Path and back to the parking area. It will probably be possible to arrange a ride from Sloatsburg for those without a car. Please call leader to check. Bring lunch\, rain gear\, water\, extra layers\, and appropriate hiking shoes. Limited to six hikers plus the leader/co-leader. Masks required. Meet at the Parking area at 9:45AM. Qualifying (5+ miles). SUMMARY:Hike Saturday\, April 24 - Nawakwa Circular
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, April 24 – Nawakwa Circular \n  \nThis qualifying hike will leave from our beloved camp at 10:00am Hoping to be back by 3 or so. We will be traversing woods roads\, trails and visiting a lake. Approximately 5-7 miles with some steep sections depending on weather and trail conditions. Please bring proper footwear\, lunch\, snacks and at least 2 quarts of water\, raingear and anything else you prefer. Due to Covid restrictions this hike is limited to six hikers and one co-leader.  For applicants that need access to the camp gate someone will be there a little before 9:45am so please arrive by then to allow time to get to camp and be ready to head out. Not sure if we can pick anyone up in Sloatsburg due to covid and lack of car by leader.   Please advise if you are an applicant or key holder member. At this point only applicants and members please (no guests since we are limited to 6). Masks will need to be worn at camp when inside or when we’re gathering and on the trails if we meet other hikers.\n\nPlease register by Thursday\, April 22 at 9PM by email.\n\nLeader: Glen Nison gnisonbike@juno.com or gnisonbike@gmail.com.
