Thanks to Glen for the awesome pictures. Come on up and enjoy….
Camp was not too crowded Saturday 6/5 and the breezes at the dock made it a great place to swim and kayak. With temperatures in the 90s predicted for Sunday and the next few days, the lake is a great place to cool off.
Remember- there’s no need for pre-approval for day visits! Just fill out the questionnaire and come visit. You’ll find it after logging in on the Nawakwa tab.
We are waiting still for the Palisades Interstate Parks Commission to update our Camp Access plan, now that New York State has relaxed Covid restrictions. The PIPC oversees all camps including Nawakwa and we expect an update soon.
Watch-hawk aside, the New York Chapter welcomes new Applicants and Members. This year we have over 40 people who have taken the first steps to all that Nawakwa has to offer including swimming, hiking, kayaking, camping, and of course good food and friendship.
Interested in becoming a Nawakwan? Then be sure to check us out!
