Annual Torrey Memorial Hike to Long Mountain and Turkey Hill Lake

Hikers will gather at the parking area off Long Mountain Parkway by 10:15 a.m.From the parking area, we will follow the Long Path to the Torrey Memorial, at the summit of Long Mountain. From there, we’ll backtrack to the Popolopen Gorge trail, follow a woods road to the Anthony Wayne trail, and then hike over to Turkey Hill Lake. The return trip from the lake on the Popolopen Gorge Trail goes up a fairly steep hill, then reconnects with the Long Path, which we follow back to the parking area.
Hikers should wear good hiking shoes, bring water, lunch/snack, and rain gear. Hiking poles are recommended due to some moderately steep uphills and downhills.
