A Decade of Bastille Day Celebrations at Nawakwa!
July 19th and 20th
Susanne Flower and Lewis Ports take us to the South of France with a Provençal meal from the fragrant and sun-filled Nice and arriere-pays.
After dinner, for those who would like to stay, we will be projecting a French film (Jean de Florette, a classic film in two parts from the Marcel Pagnol novel about a family relocating to Provence in the 1920’s) with English subtitles and complimentary snacks in the main cabin.
Sunday breakfast will be Brioche Pain Perdu (French Toast!) and a Yogurt Bar.
The Trail Lunch will be a Sandwich Mixte (baguette with ham and Swiss) with goodies.
To register please contact Jerry Flower (jerry.flower@verizon.net) by Wed. July 16th at 8 p.m. and specify whether vegetarian or omnivore meal desired.
Saturday night dinner will be limited to 30 participants
Founded in 1923, the Nawakwa Outdoor Association of New York, Inc. is a membership organization dedicated to the enjoyment of the outdoors through hiking, walking, camping, swimming, skiing, sailing, canoeing, and kayaking, and to the conservation and preservation of our wilderness, particularly the mountains, lakes, trails, and camping areas of the metropolitan New York region.
