Hike Peekskill Blue Mountain Reservation Circular

From Peekskill train station we’ll walk (or shuttle) to Blue Mountain Reservation and follow local trails to the summit of Spitzenberg Mountain for stunning views of the Hudson River. Returning to the main trail, we’ll complete a rough circle around the reservation and make our way back to the train station. Expect moderately rugged trails (these are not carriage roads!) and a moderate pace. Hiking boots are recommended, and you should bring 2 liters of water and your lunch. Qualifying. Train riders should take the 8:55 a.m. Hudson line Metro-North train to Peekskill, arriving at 9:57 a.m.Drivers should meet train riders at the Peekskill train station at 9:57 a.m.
