Hike Stahahe High Point, Island Pond Views

Saturday, May 3: Stahahe High Point, Island Pond Views
This scenic hike covers about 6 miles and 1,000 feet elevation gain, and it starts and ends on Kanawauke Road/Route 106 in Harriman State Park. Nice views from the tops of mountains and across a lake. A couple of moderately steep ascents and a moderately steep descent. Hiking boots and at least two quarts of water required, plus appropriate clothing, including rain gear depending on the forecast.
Bus riders take the 9:10 a.m. Coach bus from PABT to Tuxedo Park & Ride (the stop AFTER Tuxedo train station). Drivers meet at Tuxedo Park & Ride at the junction of NY-17A and County Rd 106/Kanawauke Rd at 10:15 a.m. to meet bus riders.
This is a qualifying hike, and registration by email is requested. Please register by 9 p.m. Thursday, May 1.
