Hike the High Points of Southern Harriman

Sunday Oct 26th. Destination: The Russian Bear. 5 miles qualifying, less than 1,000 feet elevation gain, much walking on rocky, rough trail. This point-to-point hike will have a quick, setup shuttle in the AM. We will put a car(s) at Reeves Meadow Visitor Center and return to our start. Hike route includes the water power of the Cascade of Slid, the high cliffs of the Russian Bear, and a sweeping view from Torne View. The various trails pass through different trees of the diverse ecologies of the area. The  hike ends at the shuttled car for a return to Camp Nawakwa. Bring your Southern Harriman map, and we will  trace this wandering.
