This day in history, July 22nd:
- Cleveland, Ohio was founded by Gen. Moses Cleaveland in 1796.
- Wiley Post became the first person to fly solo around the world in 1933.
- John Dillinger was shot to death outside Chicago’s Biograph Theater in 1934.
- Congress restored Confederate General Robert E. Lee’s U.S. citizenship in 1965.
And, most importantly, Nawakwa members Liz Maher and Jill Mendelson are hosting a weekend at Nawakwa, July 22 – 23, 2023!
The theme for dinner is make-your-own Summer Salads. We’ll have green and hearty fixins, glorious summer fruit, fresh bread and spreads, and pie a-la-mode. Breakfast on Sunday will be quiche, bacon, cold cereal, bananas, yogurt with toppings. Bag lunches with PB&J, deli meats, fresh fruit and a drink.
