June 24 – 25, 2023 – Overnight Backpack to Big Hill Shelter

Approximately 9 – 10 miles (round-trip), moderately paced; short, steep section over Conklin Mountain and ups and downs over Breakneck Mountain. Elevation gain about 550 feet.
Starting from the Boat Launch area of Lake Sebago, we will take a variety of trails to hike over to the shelter area at Big Hill. Participants should be self-contained, with sturdy footwear, tent, sleeping pad/bag, food, stove, snacks, raingear, and water. Please call leader if there are any questions about equipment, packing, etc. Meet at the parking area at 9:45AM. Qualifying (about 8-9 miles).
