Hosted Weekend: “Variety, Change, and Spices of Life”

Host Robert Matson, who is visiting us from his new home in Arkansas, will prepare a Saturday night dinner & Happy Hour to please one and all. Fresh, healthy, balanced foods for dinner, and for those staying overnight, a simple but nutritious breakfast will be served Sunday and a trail lunch afterwards. The Hosting Committee will assist Robert for this weekend.

As background music for Happy Hour, Robert will perform a set of traditional Celtic tunes on solo mandolin. This is material he has been collecting and rehearsing since the start of Covid. After dinner will be “story time” and all are invited to bring and share their own stories of adventure and change. Robert himself will briefly share the story of his move from Brooklyn to Conway, Arkansas in Oct. 2020, where he plays a lot of music, got married, bought a house, planted 29 trees in his yard, and started a contra dance at a local university.
