Tuxedo Circular Hike

This 5.25-mile, qualifying hike starts and ends at the Tuxedo train station. We’ll take the Kakiat, Blue Disc, and Tuxedo-Mt. Ivy trails, passing Harriman landmarks including Almost Perpendicular, Elbow Brush, and Claudius Smith’s Den.
Expect rocky terrain, one steep climb, and some nice views. Moderate pace. Hiking boots or shoes are recommended, along with bug and sun protection. You should bring at least 1 liter of water (more if it’s hot out) and lunch or snacks.
This hike is transit-accessible by taking the 9:10Coach bus from PABT to Tuxedo train station. Drivers should park in the north lot at Tuxedo train station (from route 17, turn onto East Village Road, cross railroad tracks, and turn left into railroad parking). Bus riders walk from bus stop to north parking lot to meet drivers.
