Thanks to Glen for sending some pics of the work day this past weekend. We had great attendance with many hands chipping in to make things go smoothly. Camp is all packed up for the winter, with plenty of wood to keep us warm. Thanks to all for helping!

The results of yesterday’s elections are as follows:

Chair (two year term)

               Raymond Kozma – 76 votes

Treasurer (two year term)

               Suzanne Rocheleau – 75  votes

Directors (two year term)

               Susanne Flower – 73 votes

               Alex Wilkie -75 votes

               Carol Burns – 67 votes

               Stephanie Lai – write in vote – 2 votes

 

The following candidates have successfully been voted into office for the 2023 Board of Directors.

Raymond Kozma  – Chair

Suzanne Rocheleau – Treasurer

Susanne Flower – Director

Alex Wilkie – Director

Carol Burns – Director

Falling tree branch at the dock

Glen reports that a “large branch hit the dock and platform near the bench on last Monday afternoon. No damage but a mess. Alex Wilkie and I cleared most of it up.”

Founded in 1923, the Nawakwa Outdoor Association of New York, Inc. is a membership organization dedicated to the enjoyment of the outdoors through hiking, walking, camping, swimming, skiing, sailing, canoeing, and kayaking, and to the conservation and preservation of our wilderness, particularly the mountains, lakes, trails, and camping areas of the metropolitan New York region.
