Busy Labor Day – food, volunteers, and community

September 9, 2026

Wow, what a busy Labor Day Weekend at Camp Nawakwa. A few thank you’s to start, and some photos of the fun afterwards.

Thank you to everyone who turned up and got to work this weekend. We were able to complete the railings and posts near the women’s cabins, finish off the pile of woodchips and reestablish the path to our swim dock, redo the fire road and establish new parking spots along the camp road, and finally clear out the huge pile of gravel! The camp really looks amazing now.

This would not be possible without teamwork and volunteer efforts. And a special thank you to Laura Sunderlin for her donation of two wheelbarrows which helped save the day. If we missed anyone, please write info@noany.org and we’ll get that sorted.
