Camp Opening Work Day and Hosted Weekend 4/27

April 18, 2024

With Spring’s arrival, soon after comes camp’s Opening Work Weekend. This is a great opportunity for Members and Applicants to work side by side and enjoy the feeling of pride for our space! As an entirely member driven organization we have no paid staff and rely on everyone’s contributions of time to help keep camp in working order.

The workday itself is planned for Saturday April 27th with a 10:00 am start time. We will work until approximately 1:00 pm and then break for a hearty lunch of soup and sandwiches. Work will resume at approximately 2:30 and continue until around 4:00pm (or sooner if we have a large turnout).

Please RSVP for the workday by Wednesday 4/24 so we can estimate the amount of lunch needed. RSVP to Camp@noany.org or call Dave Hayes at 631-747-0132 with any questions. Qualifying.

Register for Lunch:
Nutritious, tasty, easy to prep, complimentary lunch for all volunteers!
Sandwiches: Organic turkey and Swiss cheese (extra cheese for vegetarians) with organic lettuce and tomatoes, fruit, granola bars, coffee, tea, spring water. If temperature is chilly, lunch may also include homemade veggie bean soup.
Please register by Wednesday, April 24th, 9:00 p.m. and specify if you are an omnivore or vegetarian. Lunch Host: Janet Sibarium Email: janet.sibarium@icloud.com Text or leave a voicemail: 917-318-3361

Register for the Hosted Weekend:

Eve will be supplying dinner and breakfast.  Please contact her by Wednesday at evemancuso@gmail.com to rsvp.

Nawakwa- volunteers needed to host

April 5, 2024

April 5, 2024

Dear Nawakwa Keyholders,

Camp Nawakwa will be opening for the ’24 season soon. Now is the time to check your calendars and volunteer as a weekend or midweek host. Opportunities are available from April 27th to October 27th .

Kindly email your hosting selection (or midweek request) as soon as possible to the Hosting Committee at hosting@noany.org. Blanks on the hosting calendar (see below) indicate openings/hosts needed.

Please review the current Hosting and Guest Policies on our Nawakwa website(noany.org/hosting-forms). All necessary forms can be downloaded from the website. It’s important that the hosts observe these policies and report any difficulties. And remember, we’re here to support you and your hosting experience!

We encourage you to communicate via the hosting email address at hosting@noany.org. If you want to speak directly, contact Maryann Poris at 973-769-4246.

Again, without our dedicated volunteers, we would not be celebrating 100 years and thriving!!

Looking forward to hearing from you

Mary Hilley and Maryann Poris
