Notice to Keyholders who have placed Nawakwa in their wills

March 22, 2024

As Camp Nawakwa approaches our 100th Anniversary, a special announcement.

First, a very large thank you to those generous individuals who have made a bequest to Camp Nawakwa in their wills and estates. Our not for profit organization is indebted to your efforts. And thanks to your generosity we can continue to operate Nawakwa for the benefit of all our Keyholders.

Second, the Board is asking all who have remembered Nawakwa in their wills or plan to do so, to please update the beneficiary to reflect our current name – the Nawakwa Outdoor Association of New York, Inc. This request should be made to your attorney or whoever handles your documentation.

We separated from the ADK in March of 2022. Any bequest made to our old name will be tied up in legal proceedings. Our concern is that costly legal proceedings to remedy that would reduce the effects of your gift.

Thank you again for your action, and a heartfelt thank you for your future support.
