As a REMINDER to those of you who have not yet paid – Please  pay your Annual Fee prior to the end of the year to remain a Nawakwan!!!!

2023 Annual Membership Fee Announcement

 

Following a detailed review of our operating budget, the NOANY Board of Directors has setthe membership fee for the 2023 calendar year at $40 per person.

The 2023 NOANY membership fee replaces your ADK membership. Now that we’veseparated from that group, we are fully dependent on our membership to keep Camp Nawakwa and all its activities going strong. All current Keyholders will remain Keyholdersupon receipt of your Annual Fee.

Payments can be sent electronically via Zelle® to rocheleau3@gmail.com noting “NOANY2023” For payment by check, please use “NOANY” and add a note for “2023 membership.”You can send your check to

Advance Notice: Winter Hosted Weekend January 21-22

October 28, 2022

The fireplace and wood stove in the main cabin will provide some heat but cold-weather clothing and sleeping bags are required.

This event is coordinated so that members may attend Camp on Saturday and then head to Characters Restaurant in Sloatsburg for the Annual Nawakwa Winter Social on Sunday.

Camp Nawakwa closed for the season – read here for off-season access

Just a reminder that as of 10/15/2022 Camp Nawakwa is closed for the season. For access to the camp, please be sure to contact our Board Chair raymondkozma@gmail.com in advance.

1. During the off-season (October 15th to April 30th), when the camping season is officially closed, permission to make use of Camp Nawakwa is needed from the Park Office.

2. Any Key-holder member who wishes to access and use camp during the off-season must notify the Board Chair who will contact the Park Office to request permission and obtain the necessary permit. Members should contact the Board Chair five days before the requested visit date so that sufficient time can be allowed for the Park Office to be notified and respond.

3. All the normal Park Rules and Regulations, and the established Policy and Procedures, will be in effect during this Non-High Camp Season.
