NY Chapter ADK – Note to Membership re deferral of Sept. 11 Open Board Meeting

September 7, 2021

Good afternoon Nawakwans,

The Board of Directors was happy to see many of you at our virtual open Special Board Meeting on August 28, 2021.  In view of the fact that we just had that meeting and that the Annual Meeting is scheduled for October 16, 2021  we wanted to let you know that the Board has deferred the scheduled September 11, 2021  Open Board Meeting; it will now be held in conjunction with the October 16, 2021 Annual Meeting and Elections.

Elections will be held similar to last year with ballots being submitted by USPS mail-in or by email. Tallying and proxy voting will take place as usual.  Election and voting information will be posted to the Trail Marker, website and distributed by USPS mail.

More information will follow about how to access the virtual October 16, 2021 Annual Meeting.

Sincerely,

Eve Mancuso, Secretary

  1. In the interest of reaching as many members as possible, I am sending this message out to our Nawakwan membership contact list in addition to the ADK Main Club NY Chapter membership contact list that I usually rely upon for email blasts.  As the Main Club only lists one email for those of you with a family membership,  as well as the newest members, as the Main Club has chosen not to provide our Chapter with updated membership lists since June,  I am hoping I will now reach a broader audience. I apologize in advance  to those of you who receive this message twice.

Asbestos work in the Main Lodge (today 8/30!)

August 30, 2021

Although Don Gabel has been in touch with the Park and Lake Forman regularly, we had no idea they are doing the asbestos abatement today!

The lodge will be unavailable for at least today.

Don has a call in to the lake foreman to ask if today is the only day the team will be there.
