Late Summer Work Day 8/21 and Hosted Weekend 8/21 – 22/21

August 17, 2021

Calling all applicants and members, eat your spinach this week and put your musCles to work  Animated GIF  at the Late Summer Work Day this Saturday, 8/21. We will be watering the native planting done this Spring in the camp understory, fixing the swim dock, and assorted usual chores. Lunch is coordinated by Maryanne Poris and provided by the camp. There are no camp fees for the Work Day, which begins at 9:00 a.m. If you can’t make Saturday, but can attend Sunday, we can always save a chore for you – just let us know!
The Hosted Weekend will include appetizers and dinner: grilled cod with lemon and spinach, potato salad, a salad of greens, beans, corn, and lime vinaigrette, and a sweet treat for dessert. Breakfast is good old-fashioned scrambled eggs with fresh bagels and fruit, and the Hiker’s bag lunch is back! Make your own sandwich of turkey breast and/or cheddar, fruit, and a sweet!
Please RSVP to Teri and Don at blaugabels@msn.com by Thursday evening at 9:00 pm. Please specify which meals you will attend.
Hope to see you at Camp Nawakwa!
