RESCHEDULED: Winter Social February 22

REMINDER – the rescheduled  annual Nawakwa Winter Social is coming up on Sunday, February 22,2026 at Characters Restaurant!

Registration is again OPEN until February 17 for those of you who did not originally register for the January date. If you originally registered, there is no need to reply again.  You may register  by emailing Eve Mancuso. Include your meal choice (see below).

Choice of Entrée:
SALMON- served in a lemon and caper sauce and serve with your choice of rice or baked potato
and mixed vegetables.
CHICKEN FRANCESE – served with your choice of rice or pasta and mixed vegetables.
BEEF TERIYAKI – sliced steak served with peppers and onions in teriyaki sauce with your choice
of rice or baked potato and mixed vegetables.

Alert: Deer Hunting in Harriman November 3 to December 31

Highlights:

The hunting season will occur from November 3rd to December 16th and December 26th to December 31st (excluding all weekends, official state holidays, and state regulated season closures)

Hunting will only be permitted in designated areas within the northern third of the park, as outlined on the official park hunting maps.
• Hunters will be distributed across five zones.

• The five new deer hunting zones account for around 35% of the park, approximately 17,000 acres.

• Hunting is not permitted within 150 feet of roads or within 500 feet of any building, Group Camp, shelter, or parking lot.
